October 23, 2002 - Total Software Solutions, Inc (TSS) announces benchmark results for TRECS© - Total Roamer Exchange Control System

Total Software Solutions, Inc (TSS) announces benchmark results for TRECS©. Total Roamer Exchange Control System demonstrates superlative power for processing roamer records (including 3G) in all the standard formats.

TRECS, the TSS flagship roamer clearing and settlement product was recently tested in the IBM Dallas Labs. The test was conducted on an IBM zSeries machine running Linux using DB2 for data storage. The results measured validate that TRECS will support in excess of 200 million transactions per day.

Michael A. Browne, President and CEO stated that he was very satisfied with the test. He further explained that the TRECS testing included simultaneous processing of multiple record types of all the standard record formats such as, CIBER, CIBER X2, TAP3 (GPRS and content), TAP2 and NAIG TAP.

Mr. Browne went on to say, "Our product is now ready for Tier 1 carriers who are looking for an improved revenue assurance program and wish to clear, validate, report and exchange roamer records with their roaming partners. Carriers selecting TRECS© will realize significant savings by utilizing an in-house mediation and settlement system that performs all the industry standard edits (CIBERNET and TADIG) and has all the functionality of a clearinghouse."

TRECS© written in Visual Basic and C++ provides carriers with the necessary tools to clear inter-carrier/carrier roamer records at a remarkably low cost. TRECS© can be easily implemented and will interface with multiple billing systems as well as with any number of roaming partners. Friday, June 14, 2002 - Mike Browne, President and CEO of Total Software Solutions (TSS) is please to announce the availability of the TSS TAP3 ASN.1 Viewer. The TAP3 ASN.1 Viewer is a utility for viewing files that are in TAP3 ASN.1 format. It provides the ability to view one record/event at a time. Viewing the next or previous record/event is as simple as pressing a button.

By providing a physical definition for the TAP3 ASN.1 files, the viewer dynamically builds the record structures to use in viewing the data. The level, application id, field name/object and data format is displayed along with the data value in either display or hex.

A configuration file identifies the file ids and the file containing the associated physical definition to use. The viewer contains a list of file ids that can be viewed, retrieved from the configuration file.

Viewing a new TAP3 ASN.1 file is as simple as adding the new information to the configuration file and providing the physical definition.

- AT&T Wireless Services Selects Total Software
Solutions' FCOM and the ASN.1 Viewer

Michael Browne and Total Software Solutions announces that AT&T Wireless Services has selected FCOM (Flexible Converter On-line Mapping) and ASN.1 Viewer for their solution for converting CDPD files to ASN.1.

This project has been successfully underway since March 11, 2002. FCOM and the ASN.1 viewer will be installed in the AWS Test Lab in early May and will be in production by early July.

About FCOM:
FCOM provides the ability to easily convert from one file format to another. It is a table driven/rules based system that facilitates quick implementation and deployment of record conversions. FCOM can process any fixed record format; it can also handle multiple record layouts on input and/or output files. The flexibility of FCOM© is owed to its maintenance of field definitions for every file id and record id that can be either input or output to the system. These definitions provide the online the information needed to facilitate building "rules" and the batch processing pertinent information about individual records.

About ASN.1 Viewer
The ASN.1 Viewer is a collection of programs developed to translate ASN.1 cryptic files to and from user-friendly readable files. Once files are translated into format, the data is readily accepted into standard processing models. These programs were developed and tested by TSS for the suite of Roamer Exchange Products. The programs are written in object oriented C++. The use of this decoder has proven to be very effective; the process ensures quick deployment and readable files that simplify development, testing and interfacing data.
