Total Software Solutions, Inc (TSS) announces benchmark results for TRECS©. Total Roamer Exchange Control System demonstrates superlative power for processing roamer records (including 3G) in all the standard formats. TRECS, the TSS flagship roamer clearing and settlement product was recently tested in the IBM Dallas Labs. The test was conducted on an IBM zSeries machine running Linux using DB2 for data storage. The results measured validate that TRECS will support in excess of 200 million transactions per day. Michael A. Browne, President and CEO stated that he was very satisfied with the test. He further explained that the TRECS testing included simultaneous processing of multiple record types of all the standard record formats such as, CIBER, CIBER X2, TAP3 (GPRS and content), TAP2 and NAIG TAP. Mr. Browne went on to say, "Our product is now ready for Tier 1 carriers who are looking for an improved revenue assurance program and wish to clear, validate, report and exchange roamer records with their roaming partners. Carriers selecting TRECS© will realize significant savings by utilizing an in-house mediation and settlement system that performs all the industry standard edits (CIBERNET and TADIG) and has all the functionality of a clearinghouse." TRECS© written in Visual Basic and C++ provides carriers with the necessary tools to clear inter-carrier/carrier roamer records at a remarkably low cost. TRECS© can be easily implemented and will interface with multiple billing systems as well as with any number of roaming partners. By providing a physical definition for the TAP3 ASN.1 files, the viewer dynamically builds the record structures to use in viewing the data. The level, application id, field name/object and data format is displayed along with the data value in either display or hex. A configuration file identifies the file ids and the file containing the associated physical definition to use. The viewer contains a list of file ids that can be viewed, retrieved from the configuration file. Viewing a new TAP3 ASN.1 file is as simple as adding the new information to the configuration file and providing the physical definition.
